Umm--so this remodel is growing and growing. But this is why: we're crazy!
Oh no, wait, that's not the only reason. In our vision of what our entry, hall, and bathroom floor will look like, they all flow together as one continuous pattern. To accomplish that we decided it would be easiest to just do everything all at once. Up came the hallway carpet and up came the entryway tile. No, it wasn't that easy as you can see the entryway tile was a PAIN to get up. It wasn't really tile so it came up in peices. Sooo not fun!! A few more preparations to the floors and we will be ready to tile. Onward we go. Oh yea, has anyone out there got any good tips for us--neither one of us have ever done tile. Wish us luck.
I've never done tile before either. Lorin says to make sure you get the spacing even (match sticks, tooth picks, spacers etc.) He says you can rent a tile cutting saw if you don't have one.
